It has been called a sexist product and a sign of the repression of women. It is indeed preposterous that a product that allows women to partake in healthy, enjoyable pursuits like never before can be accused of any of that.
As more women take to the outdoors, and as more people become aware of the dangers of UV rays, love it or hate it, the burkini is here to stay.
