With L’Or Lumière, the new makeup collection honoring the 2014 Cannes Film Festival (May 14-25), L’Oréal Paris chose to highlight gold and light (“or” and “lumière” in French).

As it has for the past 17 years, the official makeup brand of the festival will be present on the Promenade de la Croisette to lend a touch of glamour to the eyes, cheeks, lips and nails of the movie stars in attendance.

For this latest edition, the celebrities on the red carpet will be wearing makeup from L’Or Lumière, a collection emphasizing iridescence and shimmery effects. The name of the new line is a nod to the prestigious prize awarded at the end of the festival — the Palme d’Or (“Golden Palm”) — as well as to light (lumière), an element as essential to the world of cinema as it is to the beauty sector.

New additions to the Color Riche line for Cannes

For this exclusive limited edition, L’Oréal Paris has added new shimmery shades to its Color Riche collection.

Beauty fans will be able to get their hands on new hues of Color Riche Extraordinaire liquid lipstick (€16.50/around $23), two new colors of Color Riche Le Vernis nail polish (€6.50/around $9) and a special edition Cannes version of the Volume Millions de Cils mascara (€15.50/around $21).

Throughout the Cannes Film Festival, L’Oréal Paris will welcome visitors at its Make-Up Designer Bar within the Hôtel Martinez. The venue will give festival goers a chance to try out the looks from the L’Or Lumière collection.
