Jakarta Hijabis to Feast on Fashion and Fun

Another hijabulous event is ready to rock Jakarta. Scheduled to take the stage on Saturday, August 4th, the Arafah Ramadhan Festival will feature a hijab class, makeup class, hijab fashion show, musical performance and a talkshow. A photo contest and a bazaar will also accompany the festival.

This annual Ramadhan festival is sponsored by Ardelya, a scarf label synonymous with gorgeous hijab styles. Attendees at this year’s event will be taught how to create 12 hijab styles by Ardelya, from casual to ones worthy of grand parties. Vonny Agitania, the founder of Ardelya, will be one of three guests who will speak at the talkshow, which aims to promote creativity among Indonesian Muslim women. The two other guests are Dika Restiyani, winner of the Muslimah Beauty 2011 contest, and award-winning independent musician Windri Marieta, who will also be performing at the event to promote her new album, ‘Better and Brighter’.
