Little Girl, 4, Needs a New Heart to Live
A brave little girl needs your help urgently. Nur is a four-year-old girl living in Singapore who is suffering from myocarditis, a rare heart condition. Due to her condition, her kidneys have deteriorated and her bloated abdomen presses against other organs, causing Nur to suffer breathlessness, severe pain and fever.
Nur needs a new heart, urgently. However, currently there is no heart transplant programme in Singapore for children as young as Nur. Doctors have said she has less than one month to live unless she receives the life-saving operation. Her parents are now trying to get her a heart transplant overseas, in countries such as the US or UK that provide heart transplants to young children. A target of US$200,000 has been set to give their daughter a chance at survival.
The response so far has been encouraging, however there is still a long way to go until the goal has been reached. Little Nur needs your help. Please chip in your donation below — debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and AMEX) are accepted, and no PayPal account is required to donate. Every little bit of time, energy and money that we can give to Nur will mean a lot for her.
