Sisterhood! Set to Spoil Jakarta’s Hijabistas

A two-day fantabulous event titled ‘Sisterhood!’ is poised to pamper Jakarta’s hijabistas. Initiated by well-known young designer Dian Pelangi, the event comprises a fashion bazaar, hijab tutorial class, ‘talk shows’ with well-known Muslim designers and fashion bloggers, dinner with hijabi personalities, a fashion show and the launch of a new book by Dian Pelangi.

The Sisterhood! series of events will hit FX Plaza from July 14 – 15, with the fashion bazaar open from 10am to 10pm on both days. On July 14, a hijab tutorial class featuring Ami Schaheera, Shea Rasol, Jezmine Blossom and UK-based hijab fashionista Hana Tajima will be held. Also on the same day is a talk show titled ‘How to be a Muslimah fashion blogger & how to sell online’, moderated by fashion bloggers Hanna Faridl and Fifi Alvianto of Hijab-Scarf.com. A dinner event with Dian Pelangi, Hana Tajima, Dina Tokio and other designers will wrap up the first day of Sisterhood!

Famous faces such as Zaskia Adya Mecca, Zaskia Sungkar, Meyda Sefira and Nadya Almira will grace the Sisterhood! runway on July 15. These pretty ladies will be wearing collections from Dian Pelangi, Dina Tokio, Qonita Attamimi and Noni Zakiah, just to name a few. Dian Pelangi’s new book, ‘Hijab Street Style’ will be released on this day, along with performances by pop singers Inarovi and Marshanda.
