Ramadhan is beautiful in such a way that it makes us think twice before we act upon a sinful desire or unpleasant thought. Family members and friends alike – especially those who are estranged from us – are encouraged to come together during the holy month. Let the past be the past.
O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful
Extend the olive branch to them, and invite them to iftar together.
How else can we reach out to loved ones who have slipped too far out of our reach? It is never too late to bring them back with love.
