Karl Lagerfeld Teases Shu Uemura Cosmetics Line

Just last month Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld announced he was teaming up with Japanese beauty giant Shu Uemura on a one-off beauty line, and the designer has now unveiled a teaser showcasing the collection’s mascot.
The mini film showcases the birth of cartoon character Mon Shu Girl and is inspired by Lagerfeld’s previous confession that he uses the brand’s eye shadows while sketching because “other manufacturers do not offer such beautiful colors.”
Set to go on sale internationally this November, the special holiday collection will be labeled Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura.
The Paris-based designer is in charge of the collection’s color selection and packaging and has already photographed an accompanying campaign.
Lagerfeld’s previous beauty team-ups include a capsule line comprising eyeshadows, nail polishes, and accessories for French chain Sephora back in November 2011.
