With breezy, sunny days firmly in mind, Miss Selfridge launches its new collection. Shea Rasol offers her faves of the sneak peeks.
Spring gives a delicate nod to soft, sheer fabrics worn with effortless styling.
The ethereal feel of the 70s encompasses floaty, tiered maxi dresses, backless crisp white sundresses, and dusky pink bell sleeve baby-dolls. The collection is as if you’re frolicking in a Moroccan getaway with your loved ones.
Inspiration from Sophia Coppola’s 1999 film The Virgin Suicides is seen across the applications of lace inserts, floral smocks and love-worn paisley prints contrasted against Japanese-inspired pieces; geometric prints; kimono jackets and embroidery.
Daisies sit prettily across the collection – appliquéd onto candy coloured chiffon dresses and sheer panelled tops with peplum detail.
Denim is key – with tunics worn over embroidered smocks or updated with metalwork. Skirts are fitted with pocket details, worn with blouses tucked in and around your feet, tan leather-and-wood sandals.
Miss Selfridge is inspired by the pretty and sunny Spring/Summer season. Let Aquila Style lead the way for you.
