Vivid Colours Draw Fashionistas in Malaysia

With the tagline “Colours of 1435h”, Moslema In Style ends the year on a fashionably vivid note. By Shea Rasol.

Featuring fresh faces new to the Malaysian Islamic fashion industry, Moslema In Style showcased young and hip collections from a number of designers. Held at Putra World Trade Center, Kuala Lumpur on 2nd November this year, this event proved itself to be serious at the fashion game.

Highlighting brands such as Button My Buttons, Suci by Yatt Hamzah, Hijrah Couture and Anggia Handmade from Bandung as a guest designer, Moslema In Style brought variety to the plate and wowed the crowds with ensembles ranging from casuals to couture eveningwear.

A brave mixture of colours was also seen throughout the show, along with a variety of fabrics. Light and flowy chiffon, sturdy songket and strong batik hit the unpredictable runways this year.

I would say these designs were made very much for young adult Muslimahs in mind – for women who are in love with fashion and style, and love to have fun with colours.
