Diet Chicken by Fauzia’s Kitchen Fun_Aquila Style


  • 250gm boneless chicken, sliced in half to get two thin layers then cut up into strips
  • Marinated in the following mixture for at least 3 hours in the fridge:
    • A pinch of turmeric
    • 1 tsp cumin powder
    • tandoori masala
    • salt to taste
    • ¼ tsp ginger/garlic paste
    • ½ tbsp yoghurt
    • 1 tsp tomato paste
    • Red chili powder to taste
    • 1 tbsp lemon juice


  1. Take a heavy pan and lightly rub about 1 tbs of oil on it with a piece of kitchen tissue or a brush
  2. Once the pan is hot, spread out the chicken pieces in it and cover
  3. Do not crowd them on the pan, make sure they have ample space to get properly cooked
  4. Keep the heat on medium
  5. Let them cook for about 3 minutes, then uncover the pan and turn the pieces over
  6. Put the cover back on and give them another 3 minutes
  7. Remove the lid and increase the heat to high, and cook them an extra couple of minutes on both sides on high heat to fully cook them through
  8. Remove and continue with the rest of the chicken
  9. Serve with a salad or in a healthy sandwich and enjoy!
